👋 I'm Madalyn, an analyst and UX Designer with a diverse background in public policy and research, local government, communications, and information technology.

 

💼 As the Strategic Operations and Communications Manager for a School Board Member at Miami-Dade County Public Schools, I apply my skills and passion for user experience design, public policy, and research to create and implement strategies that improve the quality and accessibility of public education. 

 

📚 My design journey has been anything but conventional. While working as a research analyst in government tech, I observed the significant lack of accessibility on government websites, hindering access to crucial information. Furthermore, my time in local government exposed me to the challenges faced by constituents in navigating public information. I firmly believe that designers possess the power to demonstrate that government can be an effective instrument for positive change. Motivated by this conviction, I have pursued a career that combines research, data-driven approaches, and human-centered creativity.
